Student Care and Support
Student Conduct Administration is committed to caring for and supporting students as they navigate the Student Conduct Code or Honor Code process. A key part of this commitment is helping students learn from their experiences, make informed decisions, and continue making positive contributions to the Baylor community through a restorative approach that emphasizes growth and development. Recognizing that conduct-related challenges can affect a student’s overall success and well-being, Student Conduct Administration established the Case Manager position to provide individualized support, guidance, and resources throughout the conduct process. Through this role, students receive assistance in navigating conduct-related concerns while remaining focused on their personal growth, academic progress, and continued success at Baylor.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I meet with the Case Manager before my conduct meeting?
Yes. You may meet with the Case Manager at any time in order to learn more about the conduct process. However, you may be asked to not share any substantive or detailed information with the Case Manager about your case prior to your official conduct meeting. Depending on the questions you have, the Case Manager may refer you to your Conduct Officer (Student Conduct Code cases) or the Director, Office of Academic Integrity (Honor Code cases) for more information.
May I ask the Case Manager to accompany me to my conduct meeting?
Yes. The Case Manager may accompany you to an initial meeting with your Conduct Officer for Student Conduct Code matters or with the Director of the Office of Academic Integrity for Honor Code matters. Their role is to provide support and help you navigate the process. If your case proceeds to a formal hearing under either Code, the Case Manager may not be permitted to attend, depending on the procedures governing the hearing process. Although the Case Manager may not be able to attend a formal hearing, they can continue to offer guidance, resources, and support before and after the hearing.
Will the Case Manager make decisions about my conduct case?
No. The Case Manager does not determine responsibility, assign sanctions, or make decisions regarding case outcomes. Their role is to provide support, answer questions about the process, and help students navigate the conduct system. All case decisions are made through the established procedures outlined in the applicable University Code.
I don't have a conduct case, but I have a concern that may involve a potential Code violation. Can the Case Manager help me?
Possibly. Assistance will depend on the nature of your concern. If the issue falls outside the scope of student conduct policies, the Case Manager will make every effort to connect you with the appropriate campus office or resource that may be able to assist. In some situations, referrals may also be made to off-campus resources, such as the Waco Police Department, an apartment manager, or a landlord for students living off campus.
What types of resources might I be connected with through the Case Manager?
The Case Manager works closely with other campus partners and resources such as:
- Care Team
- Counseling Center
- Well-Being Resources
- Beauchamp Addiction Recovery Center (BARC)
- Office of Access and Learning Accommodations (OALA)
- Success Center
- Academic Support
- or other campus support offices at Baylor, in the Waco community, or in your hometown.
